We’re now into Week Two of Convergence and the weekly series is now on Convergence #2. The rubber hit the road last week and the momentum is expected to continue this week. Spoilers follow.
Leading up to this, we’ve had some interesting developments in the issues that have shipped weekly so far:
- Convergence #0 spoilers here.
- Convergence #1 spoilers here.
Week Two of Convergence also brings with it more debut #1 issues from DC Comics’ two-shot tie-ins. That includes Suicide Squad #1 which features Kingdom Come characters.
We’ve heard from writer Jeff King that Earth 2’s Dick Grayson will have a huge role in Convergence, and that work seems to begin in Convergence #2. We also have the meeting between Earth 2’s current Batman, Thomas Wayne, meeting his pre-Flashpoint “son” Bruce Wayne from the pre-Flashpoint era (awesome cover BTW).
In addition, Convergence #2 looks to directly pick from the end of Earth 2 World’s End #26 (spoilers for that issue here).
Plus, from that variant cover, could we actually see the classic Superman Blue and Superman Red in this issue? It looks like these two are based on the Silver Age interpretation of blue and red not the 1990’s versions.
With that, Convergence #2 spoilers follow for this week’s weekly chapter / edition of DC Comics’ 2015 event’s core weekly series via a preview released by the company.
Thanks for reading. All feedback welcome.
