Evel Knievel was a legend in the ’70s. The motorcycle daredevil capture ABC’s Wild World Of Sports with his death defying and bone smashing jumps across fountains, buses, cars and sharks. His toys were caused fights before Christmas. He was a legend. And then he imploded. Being Evel is the ultimate documentary about the man and myth. The film was produced by Johnny Knoxville of Jackass fame. We caught director Daniel Junge right before a screening. He gave us a few minutes of his time.

The trailer for Being Evel isn’t up yet so here’s the footage of Evel crashing after he jumped the sharks. A shark jumping stunt would later be done by the Fonz on Happy Days.
