Simon Cowell Reacts To American Idol Cancellation, Says He Had A ‘Blast’

News

After FOX confirmed the news that American Idol will be pulled from its schedule after its 15th and final season next year, Simon Cowell responded and said that he had a ‘blast’ on the show.

Cowell joined the show in 2002 and was a mainstay on the judging panel until 2010 when he left to launch the American version of The X Factor.

In a statement, Cowell remembered the ‘great times’ he shared with the show’s entire crew.

“We had a blast! Me, Paula, Randy, Ryan — and not forgetting Brian. Thanks to the fans we were able to make some great shows and found some amazing artists,” he said. “Fox took a risk on a brand new show and I want to thank them for giving us the opportunity. They really were great times.”
