After WWE NXT Takeover went off the air, Samoa Joe cut the following promo on the mic:
“NXT….Now you see I’ve always made it a point to compete in the hottest promotions in the world and every where I looked and everyone I’ve spoken to said, ‘Joe if you want to do what you want to do, then you come to NXT…..and if tonight is any indication of the competition I can expect, Joe is happy…and Joe is here. So consider this your warning: I AM SAMOA JOE! I AM PRO WRESTLING! And I am now here in NXT.”
Sami Zayn was carried out.
Live Report:
Just got back from NXT Takeover: Unstoppable and here are some live notes from the show.
– The show was a legit sellout. I heard reports from others that the show was actually oversold and there were fans who couldn’t get in.
– Live in attendance, and I’m assuming most of them were shown on camera: Stephanie McMahon, Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley, Eva Marie, Larry Zbysko, Cesaro, and Mick Foley. The weird thing with a lot of wrestlers was that they came out to watch a match and then were moved out post match so someone else could sit and watch.
– Dark match was a fun little but with the Vaudevillains defeating Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder.
– I’m not sure how much was shown on tv, but after the women’s title match, Becky Lynch got a long standing ovation and seemed to be getting pretty emotional.
– Also during the women’s title match, Steph would get up and start taking pictures with her phone. She looked very much happy with how the match was going.
– Joe coming out was possibly the loudest I have ever heard that arena. People were screaming and going nuts.
– After the show, Samoa Joe shirts were on sale and so were the new Becky Lynch glasses.
