Big Brother 17 Episode 5 just wrapped up! Here’s a recap of everything that went down, and what we think you should expect to come:

WARNING: Spoilers below (duh).

The episode started off following the POV ceremony. Jace has just been back-dorred, and he decides to try and campaign to everyone to stay.

While campaigning, he gets into two separate altercations with Audrey, claiming she is responsible for his backdoor, only touching on what actually happened in the live feeds where the entire house has turned on Audrey.

In addition to fighting Audrey, Jace confronts James about putting up, saying how betrayed he feels. James says he was a threat and nothing personal, but Jace disagrees.

Julie reveals the Twin Twist to America, showing us the four times Liz and Julia have switched out since the start of the game, while giving us little scenes. (Interestingly enough, probably due to time constraints, they opted not to air a scene earlier in the week were Da’Vonne and ‘Liz’ got into an argument over Liz claiming she didn’t say something she did earlier, due to the fact a swap  had occurred in the middle.)

The first eviction happens, the votes are as follows:

  • Jeff votes to evict Jace
  • Da’Vonne votes to evict Jace
  • Jason votes to evict Jace
  • Audrey votes to evict Jackie
  • Steve votes to evict Jace
  • Liz and Julia vote to evict Jace
  • Austin votes to evict Jace
  • Meg votes to evict Jace
  • John votes to evict Jace
  • Clay votes to evict Jace
  • Becky votes to evict Jace
  • Shelli votes to evict Jace
  • Vanessa votes to evict Jace

By a vote of 12-1: Jace is the first person evicted from the Big Brother 17 house.

Interestingly, Audrey pulled a James Rhine with a throw-out vote, and will likely try and peg it on someone else.

Kathy Griffin, the next BB Takeover guest, is interviewed by Julie and announces her twist for the week: The Last Laugh Twist. A phone will be placed in the house, and the seventh person to answer it will be allowed to pick 3 people next week to nullify their ability to vote, which could turn out to be very interesting.

The next HOH begins, with Becky and Shelli becoming the two Heads of Household. The two of them will nominate, upon which their nominees will compete for safety during the Battle of the Block, crowning the final HOH of the week.
