WWE has always had a unique approach to announcing, and now that has been officially codified.
In documents leaked on Reddit, Vince McMahon has rules on what to say, how to say it, and to “avoid the dirtsheets”.
In the “words to avoid”, some banned terms include “shot”, “blood”, “pro wrestler”, “backstage” and “feud”.
Notes from Vince also make adjustments including a ban on “the title is on the line”, that announcers must “always read WWE.com”
