Big Brother 17 Episode 8 just wrapped up! Here’s a recap of everything that went down, and what we think you should expect to come:

WARNING: Spoilers below (duh).

The episode starts off following the veto ceremony, where Da’Vonne and Meg are the final nominees. Meg is upset to be up against Da’Vonne, and the two hope this “Last Laugh” twist will help them both stay.

The houseguests return to the house after the lockdown to discover a phone booth. The seventh person to answer a call in the phone booth will be able to block three houseguests from voting at the eviction. As houseguests enter, Kathy Griffin spits pre-recorded insults at the responder, except for the person who receives the power.

Clay begins telling everyone he’ll be taking the seventh call, because it’s his lucky number. As John goes to answer the sixth, Da’Vonne babysits the phone booth waiting for the seventh, and then takes it. She is told she has won the power.

Shelli and Clay discuss who could have it in the HOH, and realize that if Da’Vonne did get it, she’d only need four votes to stay.

Da’Vonne begins campaigning for votes, getting agreements from Jason, Audrey, Vanessa, and John.

While sitting in the backyard one day, a twin swap occurs, and it dawns on Da’Vonne that Liz and Julia are twins. Da’Vonne and James tell others, while Da’Vonne goes and tells Liz that people know, to try and get an extra vote.

Julie tells the houseguests that the person who won the secret power has decided that Jeff, Jackie, and Becky will not vote this week.

The second eviction happens, the votes are as follows:

  • Jason votes to evict Meg
  • Clay votes to evict Da’Vonne
  • John votes to evict Da’Vonne
  • Audrey votes to evict Meg
  • Austin votes to evict Da’Vonne
  • Liz/Julia votes to evict Da’Vonne
  • Vanessa votes to evict Da’Vonne
  • James votes to evict Da’Vonne
  • Steve votes to evict Da’Vonne

By a vote of 7-2: Da’Vonne is the second person evicted from the Big Brother 17 house.

Rob Gronkowski is this weeks BB Takeover guest, and he announces that his big twist is…….. NO HAVE-NOTS!! What an amazing and thought provoking idea, great use of a guest. Though seriously, I think and hope there is more to his week.

The next HOH begins, with Austin and Vanessa becoming the two Heads of Household. The two of them will nominate, upon which their nominees will compete for safety during the Battle of the Block, crowning the final HOH of the week.
