Gravitas Ventures has issued a press release announcing its acquisition of Back In Time, a documentary that chronicles the iconic Back to the Future and the fandom the original movie and sequels have obtained over the last thirty years.

The documentary is set to arrive via VOD, on DVD/BD and in select theaters the very day Marty McFly, Jennifer, and Doc Brown took the DeLorean from the subdivision of 1985’s Hill Valley to 2015 Hill Valley (October 21, 2015 – aka “Future Day”).

Back to the Future is an ’80s pop culture staple, and filmmakers Jason Aron and Lee Leshen being fans of the trilogy wanted to share the love by speaking with the luminaries involved (including Michael J. Fox, Robert Zemeckis, Steven Spielberg, Bob Gale, Lea Thompson and Christopher Lloyd – as well as Huey Lewis, James Tolkan (“Mr. Strickland”) Claudia Wells (“Jennifer Parker”) and more).

Aron and Leshen look to explore everything from Eric Stoltz’s original casting as Marty McFly to the invention of the hoverboard.

The filmmakers even got Adam F. Goldberg’s (creator of TV’s “The Goldbergs”) seal of approval. He served as Co-Executive Producer of the documentary.
