The Sci-Fi movie with a decently-sized cult following has found a home as it will be exclusively distributed by Amazon and their online on-demand service.
Returning to the show are writer Robert Gordon and director Dean Perisot while both will be executive producers. Not sure if the entire cast will be returning but Paramount Television had been shopping the show around before eventually agreeing with Amazon.
It’s hard to say that any show distributed on the internet is going “head-to-head” but a Galax Quest show would be an interesting bit of competition for Yahoo’s Other Space (which is a show I’d highly recommend).
So would anyone be interested in a Galaxy Quest TV show? Or would it had been better to have left “well enough” alone? We’ll find out if the show gets green-lit after they shoot the pilot.
