Fan Expo Canada 2015 is running this weekend in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Marvel Comics has a bit of a presence on panels with a Marvel Star Wars panel yesterday for Force Friday that also saw the debut for sale of new Star Wars to coincide with the new Star Wars VII The Force Awakens film.
The below is the Fan Expo 2015 Toronto schedule for Saturday September 10, 2015.
The below is what Marvel Comics Editor in Chief had to say about Canada’s Marvelous super-team during his latest sit down with CBR. The first part is the question and the second part is the answer.
- We’ll take off for the long weekend with kaijudo, who has an observation and a question: “No word yet in the ANAD Marvel U about two of my favorites: Captain Britain and Alpha Flight. Any plans for either of those characters/titles?”
Alonso: Stay tuned for good news, I think.
Add that Fan Expo 2015 Saturday schedule and the above comments by Marvel EIC Axel Alonso together and you get the below….
Marvel Comics tends to save Alpha Flight and Omega Flight announcements for conventions on Canadian soil; typically the big one which is this weekends Fan Expo. They’ve also had some cool variants for Fan Expos of the past as per the below.
So, is an Alpha Flight and/or Omega Flight series coming to the post Secret Wars 2015 All-New All-Different Marvel Comics?
Sure looks like the stars have aligned for Marvel in Toronto this weekend. And, will Marvel be at one of the upcoming comic book conventions in the United Kingdom to announce a new Captain Britain series per Axel Alonso’s earlier remarks?
UPDATE: Marvel announced nothing at Fan Expo 2015.
Or will it be the new female Captain Britain from Secret Wars 2015?
Very cool to see the Prowler with Captain Britain in that Secret Wars series above. Would love to see more of him in the All-New All-Different Marvel too!
Fun times ahead!
