Minority Report (Mon, Sep 21, 9:00) FOX
What is it: Taking place eleven years after the Spielberg/Cruise film, the series follows a Precog (someone who can see into the future) as he helps a detective solve crimes while looking for his twin. But it’s a dangerous time for Precogs, as there are those who wish to obtain these people at any cost.
Why you should watch: The original movie was a juggernaut of sci-fi storytelling, and with Steven Spielberg on as executive producer, the show has a real shot at being something special. Of course, it could enter the graveyard of bad tv/movie reboots. And that would almost be as interesting. But with shows that also feature dense Sci-Fi storytelling like Fringe and Lost to look back to and learn from, this show has a real shot.
