WWE has a lot to prove for this week’s Raw against NFL Monday Night Football
WWE has an all new episode of Monday Night Raw set for September 14, 2015.
Coming off of super low ratings last week, WWE has a lot to prove heading into Night of Champions 2015.
In a change from recent years’ philosophy, WWE announced two big title matches a week ahead of time and are promoting them.
The first is the big WWE Diva’s Title match between Nikki Bella and Charlotte. If Nikki Bella retains the title, she breaks AJ Lee’s all time record for longest reign. The Diva’s Revolution has come under intense scrutiny in the last few weeks, as it hasn’t made the impact that was hoped. This comes on top of the announced NXT IronWoman match between Bayley and Sasha Banks to really widen the contrast. It remains to be seen whether Nikki Bella can step up in a big time singles match, and we’ll find out Raw.
In addition, the WWE Tag Team Titles are up for grabs, when the New Day defends the gold against the Prime Time Players. These teams matches up in Raw’s main event last week with the PTP/Cena team getting the win, so that points to a New Day win. However, anything can happen in the WWE.
The main event storyline will continue with both Sting and John Cena targetting Seth Rollins. Meanwhile, Rollins’ relationship with HHH and Stephanie McMahon continues to deteriorate. Hopefully Sting will be better and not as much like Joker Sting this week, although that also remains to be seen.
There has been speculation that Randy Orton would be taking some time off from WWE TV, and thats why the Wyatt Family beat him down on Raw last week. However, there is also a chance that Randy could be penciled in as the mystery third partner for Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose.
