Marvel Comics continues to roll out their shining new #1’s spinning out of the events of the end of Secret Wars #8, that incidentally ships in December 2015; yes these new #1’s pre-date publishing-wise the end of the mega-event mini-series that they continuity-wise sprout from.
Anyhow, this week we had 2 more Avengers hit stands with The Uncanny Avengers #1 and The New Avengers #1. Both books start off with uncoventional, almost bizarre, villains as team foils. Certainly this is the “All-Different” part of Marvel Comics “All-New All-Different Marvel” branding post Secret Wars 2015!

New Avengers #1 sees The Maker and levitating diamond headed villains take on the team that is anchored by perennial Avengers Hawkeye and Thunderbolts’ Songbird.
And Marvel Comics really wants you stick around for New Avengers #2 next month as part of their All-New All-Different Marvel comics branding and publishing initiative.
Uncanny Avengers #1 has Deadpool, yes him, on the team! The below was awesome from Marvel’s free preview. Deadpool leads Avengers into the breach!
Plus another quirky villain choice. In this case its the Shredded Man!
And, Marvel Comics wants you come back for the All-New All-Different Marvel’s Uncanny Avengers #2 next month.
Overall, two decent books with fun inter-team dynamics with some odd or interesting (take your pick) choices as inaugural villains.
