John Cena lost the US Title to his surprise mystery opponent at the Hell in a Cell PPV, Alberto Del Rio.
Interestingly, Del Rio won a relatively short match with a kick to Cena’s head while Cena was prone and on his knees. It’s expected that the storyline to hold Cena out of action will be a storyline concussion based on this kick.
Del Rio is expected to be a heel and managed by Zeb Coulter.
As reported earlier, Cena is expected to take some time off for the rest of 2015. While the reason has not been made public, it’s not reported to be for an injury or a suspension.
The next date that Cena is officially advertised for is the December 26, 2015 house show at Madison Square Garden in NYC.
