Hellboy and the BPRD 1953:
The Phantom Hand & The Kelpie #1 – I really enjoyed Hellboy and The B.P.R.D. 1952, and this continuation shouldn’t disappoint either. Unlike it’s predecessor, this is a one-shot, two-story issue, possibly suitable for new readers. But like I said, 1952 was great as well, so why not pick up both? The TPB is available now.
Adventure Time 2015 Spoooktacular #1 – Looking for a great all-ages book to get you ready for Halloween? Adventure Time never disappoints with their annual Halloween Spooktacular!
Batman ’66 #28 – The latest additions to the ‘66-verse, inspired by villains we already know and love: Scarecrow and Killer Croc!
Black Magick #1
– Award winning and fan-favorite Greg Rucka (Gotham Central, Lazarus) and Nicola Scott begin their new gothic noir mystery just in time for Halloween!
The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl #1 – One of the biggest surprise hits of the year reboots again! But what else could you expect from Ryan North and Erica Henderson? This looks to be a continuation from the previous series, but given that it’s a #1 should be a good jump-on for new readers as well!

If you’ve never been, it’s like Free Comic Book Day but with fewer releases and many are reprints (see here for a full list of this year’s books).
