Top NJPW Star Sidelined Indefinitely Due To Injury

News

NJPW and DDT announced earlier this week that top Japanese star,  and one of the top performers around the world, Kota Ibushi will be out of action indefinitely due to a herniated disc.

Ibushi missed last week-end’s DDT show, which caused rumors to surface about him having some serious health issues. Unfortunately, those rumors have now been confirmed. Ibushi was scheduled to team up with Hiroshi Tanahashi to face Kazuchika Okada and Kazuchi Sakuraba on this week-end’s Power Struggle PPV, he has now been replaced by Katsuyori Shibata.

It is unknown at this time how long Ibushi will be out of action but DDT said it would be for a “very long time”

There was still some good news for Ibushi at that press-conference as NJPW said that his current contract, which runs until January, would be renewed.

I've been following wrestling for almost 30 years now, and the metal scene for even longer. And let's just say that all that head-banging has left me with some weird ideas that i will share with you from time to time. Aren't you glad?
