Dudley Boyz Talk About The Possibility Of Having A TLC Match At WrestleMania 32, Problems Involved, Whom They Would Like To Face

News

The Dudley Boyz recently spoke with talkSPORT.com, here are some highlights:

On possibly revisiting the TLC match at WrestleMania 32 next year:

“It’s such a double-edged sword,” Bubba said.

“How, when it comes to a TLC match, for me and D-Von – how can you possibly top anything we’ve done before? I mean, our TLC matches are talked about in wrestling circles as some of the best wrestling matches in Wrestlemania history. So if we can’t top it, I’m not sure we want to do it.

However, if we had the right guys to do it with, we could probably come close to topping it. Being older, smarter and better storytellers, we might be able to pull out a TLC match with more of an in-depth story than some of the other matches.”

On not having Edge and Christian and The Hardy Boys around to compete in a TLC match against:

“Not to say there’s not teams or other wrestlers at the level of those guys, there’s tonnes [sic] of talent in the WWE locker room – but that match is a very, very difficult match to put together correctly.”

When asked again on whom they like to face if this match was to happen they answered:

D-Von: “We’re having a hell of time with New Day. The Usos would be another team, too.”

Bubba Ray: “Asking us right now we’d go for New Day and the Usos.

You have to have such chemistry with the other guys you’re in there with where you know what they’re thinking, they know what we’re thinking, we all know what the match is backwards and forwards. I’m a little bit old school so I don’t pull back the curtain too much, but if you really, really knew what goes on a TLC match behind the curtains, you’d be shocked.

When people talk about the most difficult match and most dangerous match, try putting together a TLC match with three teams. I don’t want to screw up the legacy. if you did the nostalgia match, that’s a big deal. Doing it with other teams would be really cool, just as long as we can top what we did and even better help make another team. That would really be the important thing. Having the Dudleyz in the match is cool but if another team like the New Day or the Usos could come out of that match and be higher on the card and elevate themselves, then that’d be a job well done.”

I've been following wrestling for almost 30 years now, and the metal scene for even longer. And let's just say that all that head-banging has left me with some weird ideas that i will share with you from time to time. Aren't you glad?
