WWE followed up on a hot ending to TLC 2015 by featuring Roman Reigns in a show-long storyline also involving Vince McMahon’s return to WWE TV.

Vince came out and called out Roman Reigns, ultimately booking a match between Roman and Sheamus for the title, but with the stipulation where if Roman lost, he was fired.

In the main event match of WWE Monday Night Raw live from Philadelphia on Decmber 14, 2015, Roman Reigns overcame multiple run ins and screw jobs to pin Sheamus to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Vince McMahon, who returned to WWE TV tonight, was at ringside and interfered in the match, pulling out the ref on a sure three count.

In addition, Sheamus’ running mates Rusev and Alberto Del Rio also tried to run in.

Roman was able to fight them both off, along with Vince McMahon, who got a Superman Punch for his troubles:

Roman Reigns is now 2 time World Heavyweight Champion.

Elsewhere on the show, the issue between Kevin Owens and Dean Ambrose continued after a great Ambrose vs. Dolph Ziggler match.

The New Day continued to entertain and had a great segment with the Usos and Lucha Dragons.

The heel turn of Charlotte continued as she teamed with Becky Lynch.

The Miz tried to recruit Neville, going as far as to come down to the ring to support him. It turns out the Miz wants to learn a British accent from Neville because he wants to try out to be James Bond.
