In just a matter of hours, The Voice will crown its newest champion.
On last night’s performance finale, finalists Jordan Smith, Emily Ann Roberts, Jeffery Austin and Barrett Baber squared off for the last time. The contestants were each asked to sing a solo cover, a Christmas classic and a duet with their respective coach.
Team Blake member, Barrett Baber put forth a valiant effort in his quest for the crown. He rolled through a strong cover of Thomas Rhett’s “Die A Happy Man” and followed it up with equally solid interpretations of “O Holy Night” for his Christmas classic. Barrett has always seemed to share an undeniable chemistry with his mentor, and this was put on full display when the country singer joined Blake Shelton for what I thought was the best duet of the night, “Rhinestone Cowboy.”
I caught up with Barrett Baber on the red carpet after the show.
