Wrestling Columnist and Chair Shot Reality co-host Justin LaBar wrote a column in response to wresting promoter Jim Cornette’s harsh criticism towards Lucha Underground.  Here’s an excerpt:

“Jim, what year do you think this is?

“The depth of a character like Prince Puma is too much, and we need to keep it simple with characters like the Dirty White Boy? Is this all part of your shtick and you just wanting to get a rise out of people? I sure hope so, at least you would have a profitable publicity explanation for what’s otherwise pessimistic ignorance.”

LaBar also mentions that at a recent Lucha Underground taping, fans were chanting in response to Cornette’s comments within the Temple.

You can check out the rest of LaBar’s response at the link above.

An all-new episode of Lucha Underground will air this Wednesday, February 3, at 8 P.M. EST, only on El Rey Network.
