Tuesday Raw Roundtable: Mick Foley Gives Dean Ambrose a Gift, Triple H Squashes Dolph Ziggler, Brie Bella and Lana

Columns, Top Story

WWE had another new Raw on Monday, what did the Pulse Wrestling crew think of the show?

The usual hits and misses for me…

The New Day promo and match were great as always.

Kevin Owens was amusing, and I think he built up the Sami Zayn feud well.

The Social Outcasts did the best they could, Bo Train and all.

Mick Foley’s appearance wasn’t a surprise, but it was a nice treat.

R-Truth did his form of comedy, which I think is very underrated.

A.J. Styles is still exciting to watch, even if they haven’t established that he has mic skills.

Neville is also exciting to watch.

Dean Ambrose and Dolph Ziggler do their jobs well, even if they’re not being positioned as the top guys they ought to be.

Charlotte cut an interesting heel promo backstage.

Lana, well, she looks great?

I’m glad to see Shane back, and his promos definitely blur the work/shoot lines a bit, although that match doesn’t have anyone sold.

Overall, I’m glad that I watched tonight’s episode with DVR skipping.

Fandango, Stardust, Zack Ryder, Tyler Breeze…you guys are missed.

Solid pace to Raw tonight and things were going well until the third hour. Once Ziggler lost to HHH, they just ran out of steam … and the Reigns return didn’t help matters. The final segment with Taker, Vince and Shane just seemed forced, and I just don’t have a huge emotional investment in this match.

As for Triple H and Roman Reigns…this entire feud is backwards. Reigns attacked Triple H first and put him out and got cheered for doing so….Triple H returns at Rumble like a hero and gets revenge costing Reigns the title and gets cheered for doing so.. A few weeks ago…Triple H beats Roman down and gets cheered for doing so. I have no idea when they lost the crowd with Roman, but it makes no sense

It’s only been on an hour for me so far. Hawaii time. Glad they had all of League of Nations out to beat up New Day to complete their face turn. Ryback’s heel turn has been nice and easy. The replay of Roadblock’s “foot under the ropes” made me laugh. The clip was so skewed. Suddenly theyre throwing Ziggler who they’ve practically buried for months into a RAW title match. I’m beyond words.
