DC Comics swan song for the New 52 Superman continues with Superman / Wonder Woman #28 and with Batman / Superman #32.
First we tackle the super-couple in the next chapter of The Final Days of Superman a.k.a. Super League.

One of the questions asked for some time is what the is the status of the relationship between Superman and Wonder Woman know that he’s got his powers back, but happens to be dying now too. Well…
…their loves seems strong!
They travel to Steve Trevor and ARGUS to see the flaming Superman that Lois Lane subdued in the last part of The Final Days of Superman.
Ulysses is also there from the last core Superman series arc penciled by John Romita Jr. Superman wants to understand the super flare powers he gained and lost in that arc. He believes it might explain what’s happening to him or even what created this fiery Superman jailed in the same prison with Ulysses.
Well the fiery Superman escapes his bonded disrupting Ulysses prison cell. So its Ulysees vs. Superman and fiery Superman vs. Wonder Woman on different floors in the prison.
The battles happen at the same time; one battle ends with the fiery Superman escaping the prison and the clutches of Wonder Woman to fight another day.
Well, Steve Trevor gets the prison’s tech back online; that de-powers Ulysses.
Ulysses recognizes that Superman is not himself, not as strong as before, understanding that he appears to be dying.
A battle with the fiery Superman appears on th ehorizin, but it was surprising that we really didn;t get any advancement on the origins of DC Comics Rebirth’s New Super-Man or Superwoman in this issue.

Looks like we have Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman fighting alongside one another; almost a prequel to DC Comics Rebirth’s Trinity ongoing series; although its the pre-Flashpoint Superman that’s on that team.
