Wrestling Ratings Report 05.08.2016: Monday Night Raw, Smackdown Up, American Grit Down Again, Lucha Underground, Impact Latest

Every week, the Inside Pulse Wrestling Ratings Report takes a look at the latest TV ratings for all major wrestling shows in the United States. For each show, the latest ratings are analyzed, and compared with the last 5 and 10 week trends.

Raw and Smackdown both showed big increases for the after-Payback 2016 week of WWE TV.

Lucha Underground had an audience improvement but a low overall rating, and TNA continued to be about the same.

American Grit dipped under 2 million viewers this week for the fourth episode.

WWE Monday Night Raw

Raw on 5/2, the show after Payback, saw the audience rebound from two straight weeks of seasonal record lows, doing a 2.35 rating and 3,430,000 viewers (1.53 viewers per home, well above usual levels, which is why the rating is so low compared to the viewer number), up 10 percent from the prior week.

WWE Smackdown bounced back in the ratings this week. Thursday’s episode brought in 2.346 million viewers and a 0.71 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic, up 11% each from last week’s 2.109 million and 0.64.
