Ryan Lochte resurfaces soon. Will he be embraced or rejected by (one-time) fans?
It is being reported that he’ll be in Richmond, Virgina during the Sept 10, 2016 weekend:
- World champion American swimmer Ryan Lochte — charged with filing a false robbery report during the Olympics in Rio do Janeiro in a peculiar incident that has dominated headlines — is expected to make a celebrity appearance at the Wizard World Comic Con in Richmond.
One day after Brazilian police charged Lochte, 32, with filing a false police report, Wizard World announced that Lochte will be among a list of celebrities who will appear at the Richmond event. He’ll greet fans, sign autographs and pose for “selfies” for free.
Paying fans can also participate with Lochte in professional photo opportunities from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the Comic Con event, which is being held Sept. 10 at the Greater Richmond Convention Center in downtown Richmond.
Wizard World said it’s one of Lochte’s first scheduled public appearances since returning from Brazil.
That should be an interesting weekend for Lochte and the media.
