One of the more highly-anticipated shows of the new Fall season is Notorious. Revolving around the themes of control, ego and the thirst for power, the show features the relationship between a charismatic attorney and a powerhouse TV producer as they attempt to control the media, the justice system, and each other. Jake Gregorian (Daniel Sunjata) is the nation’s top defense attorney who boasts a roster of celebrity clients and a desire to win at any cost. Julia George (Piper Perabo) is the producer behind the country’s #1 news program and often decides what the public should be watching. The show is inspired by the true stories of criminal defense attorney Mark Geragos and cable news producer Wendy Walker and focuses on how far the media will go to secure the best ratings.
At CTV’s 2016 upfront presentation, I had the opportunity to sit down with castmember Kevin Zegers to discuss Notorious and his character.
We chatted about a variety of subjects including the concept of the series and why people are so fascinated by the relationship between the media and lawyers working together. He opens up about his character on the series (Oscar Keaton) and what the off-screen rapport is like amongst the cast.
