Tye comes out to face Angelo Dawkins, who is called “a lot of sizzle and not a lot of steak right now”. Tye dominates and hits the Tye Breaker to win. Tye walks up the ramp and is interrupted by Bobby Roode. Roode says that was simply…impressive! Roode says Tye isn’t a perfect 10 yet – but he came to NXT was to compete and to win the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic! The crowd chants Glorious 10 and he accepts – they are now a Perfectly Glorious team.
The Ealy Brothers come down to face The Revival, but Joe destroys the Ealys. Mandy Rose comes down to face Ember Moon. Ember kicks the daylights out of her and fallaway slams her to boot. Bicycle knee hits Ember for 2. Ember hits the eclipse stunner for the win. DIY says they’ll win the Dusty Rhodes Classic and beat the Revival. Authors of Pain squash a pair of jobbers. One eats a press slam to the floor while the other loses to a high/low. Paul Ellering cuts a subdued promo about how a plethora of pain will be unleashed and that’s all we need to know.
A generic brunette interview woman asks Regal if he can update us on Nakamura, but he can’t reach him. Blake and Murphy want to be in the Classic, but they still bicker. Liv Morgan comes down to be destroyed by Asuka. Asuka taps her instantly with a modified Rings of Saturn. Lince Dorado comes down to face Hideo Itami.
Lince avoids a kick from Itami before landing one on the apron – but he eats a sick kick to the chest in retaliation. Lince dropkicks him to the floor before landing an Asai moonsault. Itami lands a flying lariat off the top before landing a series of round kicks to the chest. Lince gets 2 off a series of cradles, but an SSP misses. A series of shotgun kicks and the hesitation dropkick set up a GTS for the win. Aries comes down and jumps him, but Itami fights him off to close the show.
