NYCC 2016 & DC Comics Rebirth Spoilers: DC Rebirth’s Justice League Of America Gets One-Shots In January 2017! New Series Starts February 2017?

We know that the weekly Justice League vs. Suicide Squad mini-series between December 2016 and January 2017 leads into the new twice-monthly shipping Justice League of America / JLA series. It appears it will be written by Steve Orlando who will writing or co-writing at least four one-shots featuring some of the new JLAs’s new cast. The covers to the one-shots will be provided by Ivan Reis.

DC Comics Rebirth spoilers follow for Justice League of America / JLA!

The DC Rebirth JLA will include The Ray…

…the Atom (Ryan Cho not Ray Palmer) and…

…Killer Frost.

Who else will be on the team? Stay tuned. What’s their mission statement? Not sure, but here’s how DC Comics describes the team:

In January 2017, kicking off Justice League Of America (hitting shelves twice monthly starting February 2017) are four DC Rebirth one-shots. They make four bold statements that form the foundation of a team that will bring justice to places that have given up on hope; places that thought heroism would never find them. The Justice League of America goes there! They explore the Microverse, the Hidden Cities, the worlds within worlds; they go to the other side of the map and explode forward with the new face of Heroism.

This is a Justice League that looks like America, that proves Heroism can look like ANYTHING and ANYONE.

From February 1960 to February 2017. The mission hasn’t changed. It’s just evolved.

This might be the Justice League book I start reading as I can’t bear to read Bryan Hitch’s Rebirth series with the big guns.

Looks like we’ll know more at New York Comic Con 2016 (NYCC 2016) that takes places this upcoming weekend.
