The book opens with a recap of what occurred in Batman Beyond Rebirth #1 one shot.
The Jokerz gang is trying to revive the actual deceased Joker! At the same time, Terry McGinnis’ brother Matt is taking Mac to the Batcvae to help his brother.

Now onto the issue in more detail! Matt and Max use the Batman computer in the Batcave find out that Terry McGinnis, the Batman Beyond, is in big trouble.
Trapped in rubble by the Jokerz.
Explosion dislodges him and…
…he takes out the venom-fuelled Jokerz leader.
Batman is quickly swarmed by the rest of the Jokerz, but…
…is able to escape against all odds.
Terry returns to the Batcave and encounters Matt and Max…
…reveals his plan to thwart the Jokerz in reviving the Joker by…
…infiltrating the gang!
So…
An awesome issue by writer Dan Jurgens and artist Bernard Chang. I miss an older Tim Drake as the lead, but I like the classic Batman Beyond lore returning. The twist with the original Joker is compelling and the mystery around where is Brice Wayne looms large without any real references. A solid 9 out 10.
