Inside Pulse Wrestilng’s WWE NXT Rankings 11.24.16

News

Welcome to the WWE NXT Rankings by Inside Pulse Wrestling.

In these rankings we take the top 10 contenders for the NXT Championship, and Top 5 for each the NXT Woman’s Championship, & NXT Tag Team Championship. In the rankings we take 3 major factors into account:

-Win/Loss over the past month
-Amount of TV Time dedicated to a particular character and/or storyline
-Logical storyline progression

A special note on NXT Rankings, only roster members on WWE.com are considered for the rankings. These leaves out Cedric Alexander, TJ Perkins, Mickie James, Rich Swann, and others have appeared on the show in the past few weeks.

A new ranking report will be released after the first weekly NXT show after a Takeover event.

NXT Championship – Samoa Joe (since 11.19.16)
1. Shinsuke Nakamura
2. Bobby Roode
3. Andrade “Cien” Almas
4. Tye Dillinger
5. Roderick Strong
6. No Way Jose
7. Elias Samson
8. Eric Young
9. Oney Lorcan
10. Angelo Dawkins

Samoa Joe picked up the surprising win at Takeover, but Nakamura is in line for his contractual rematch. Bobby Roode looks to be waiting in the wings after dispatching the Perfect 10. Almas seems to be generating some good steam with this heel turn, and looks like he will be a top card player soon enough. Hideo Itami & Austin Aries are considered inactive due to their injuries at the time of publishing.

NXT Woman’s Championship – Asuka (since 04.01.16)
1. Ember Moon
2. Liv Morgan
3. Peyton Royce
4. Billy Kay
5. Nikki Cross

Ember Moon is clearly the only woman on the roster that is ready for Asuka. This feud with Moon, Liv Morgan, and the Aussies will have to flesh out soon to see who will face Asuka in January. Keep an eye on Nikki Cross, it will be interesting to see how much of a singles push she gets being part of the Sanity faction.

NXT Tag Team Championship – #DIY (since 11.19.16)
1. The Revival
2. Authors of Pain
3. TM61
4. Sanity

The Revival is due a rematch after losing the titles in a 2 out of 3 falls match at Takeover: Toronto. The Authors of Pain seem to be next in line, but don’t sleep on TM61. After Sanity, there is no other active tag team with both members being on the official roster (see above as to why Austin Aries & Roderick Strong are not listed).

The next NXT rankings are set for Thursday after Takeover: San Antonio in January.

I like Comics, Wrestling, Super Mario Bros & Dead Space. Oh ya, and Scott Pilgrim.
