WWE Monday Night Raw Preview for 12.19.2016: Kevin Owens & Chris Jericho Are Best Friends Again

Previews, Top Story

WWE has the fallout from Roadblock: End of the Line on an all new Monday Night Raw from the The Schottenstein Center in Columbus Ohio.

WWE.com lead story:
In the wake of Roadblock: End of the Line, how deep will the shockwaves be felt from the controversial ending of the WWE Universal Championship Match between Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns and the destruction that took place as a result? WWE.com has some ideas.

While it seemed like the best friendship of Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho was on the rocks, by the end of the night, they were back reunited against Roman Reigns and then Seth Rollins. As Owens continues as champion, he and his BFF Jericho will likely kick off Raw with a promo segment celebrating and looking ahead to the Royal Rumble.

The other major title match was the Raw Women’s Title, which was defended in a 30 minute Iron Man match between Sasha Banks and Charlotte. Banks tapped out with only 2 seconds left to tie the score at 2 falls apiece. Then Charlotte Flair continued her PPV winning streak by taking the third and decisive fall in overtime, becoming four-time champion. This was billed as the final match in their feud so the next chapter for both women begins to unfold tonight on Raw.

New Day finally lost the WWE Tag Team Titles to Cesaro and Sheamus, and seemed somewhat heelish in the match. However, after the match they had a nice moment with Cesaro, excluding Sheamus, who grabbed the titles and posed solo. The next chapter in both the Cesaro/Sheamus team as well as New Day and the entire Tag Division starts tonight on Raw.

There might not have been a title change in the Cruiserweight Division at the PPV, but things were shaken up in a big way. First Austin Aries served as a commentator, setting himself up for a Cruiserweight Division debut when his injuries heel. Then, after the match, Neville returned to a big ovation before turning heel and attacking Rich Swann and TJP. He will address the WWE Universe on Raw and look ahead to a Cruiserweight Title match against Rich Swann.

All this plus Mick Foley/Sami Zayn, the possible debut of Emmalina, Enzo, Big Cass and Rusev and much more!

Here is the WWE.com Quick Hits Preview

  1. Friends in treachery steal Universal Title victory. Will Reigns and Rollins be looking for further retribution? Will The Big Dog get another title opportunity?
  2. All hail The “Iron” Queen. who will step into the spotlight to challenge Charlotte? Will it be Bayley? Nia Jax? Charlotte’s own protégé, Dana Brooke? Whoever it is, can they possibly conquer the Superstar who went undefeated in pay-per-view singles matches for 2016?
  3. Can Sheamus & Cesaro co-exist as Raw Tag Team Champions? Will they be able to co-exist now that they are on the top of the mountain?
  4. When will Sami Zayn be satisfied? Will the gutsy competitor once again step up to The Monster Among Men?
  5. Why did Neville attack Swann and Perkins? Still, the question remains, why did Neville do it?
