Welcome to What To Look Forward To!

Here is a quick look at some highlights on the shelves this week. (Very quick this week!) A few new series coming out, as well as some new TPBs and HCs to check out. There’s a new segment at the bottom of the page, so without further ado let’s dive in…

New This Week:

Rebels: These Free and Independent States #1 – Brian Wood returns to the early days of the U.S.A. The first Rebels series was pretty good, and this continuation looks to be just as promising. Fans of Hamilton should dig this.

Ghostbusters 101 #1 – Old school meets new school in this inevitable timestream-crossing event!

Iron Fist #1 – Just in time for the new Netflix show, read up on the latest adventures of Danny Rand! Follow up with Matt Fraction and David Aja’s run.

X-O Manowar #1 – Matt Kindt begins a new chapter in the Valiant legacy!

Other issues to look forward to:

Batman Beyond #6 – New arc!

Reborn #5 – Millar and Capullo’s best selling series continues.

The Spirit: The Corpse-Makers #2 – Great new series from Francesco Francavilla!

Collected Editions and OGNs:

Batgirl Vol. 01 Beyond Burnside TPB – Barbara has left Gotham to study abroad, and her globe-hopping adventures still lead her to her bat-suit. You can take the girl out of the city…

Deadpool: Too Soon TPB

East of West: The Apocalypse Year Two HC

Over The Garden Wall Vol. 01 TPB

Start Here!

Welcome to the new segment! This section is for readers new to comics as well as readers on a budget, highlighting several great “jump-on” points each week under $20.

Rebels: These Free & Independent States #1 – $3.99 – I enjoyed the first series and Hamilton has got me in a big educatin’ mood, learning more about the founding of America.

Batman Beyond #6 – $2.99 – New arc and the return of Curare!

The Spirit: The Corpse-Makers #2 – $3.99 – I hope your shop also has issue #1 (another $3.99) because this is one you don’t want to miss. Well written, beautifully drawn.

TOTAL = $14.96.

A bit of a light week but these are some quality books. Use the extra $5 and explore your shop!
