Welcome to What To Look Forward To!

Here is a quick look at some highlights on the shelves this week. (Very quick this week!) A few new series coming out, as well as some new TPBs and HCs to check out. There’s a new segment at the bottom of the page, so without further ado let’s dive in…

New This Week:

Batman #21 – Almost a year later, we’re finally getting more into “The Button” Watchmen mystery! Batman and The Flash investigate their findings and what it all means, beginning the next chapter in the DC Universe, post-Rebirth. Follow the story in Flash #21, out next week.

Secret Empire #0 – Captain America has turned on everyone and everything in recent Marvel history has been leading to this! This is the last Marvel event for a while so don’t miss this one.

Redneck #1 – Donny Cates (God Country) and Lisandro Estherren bring us a tale of a nice, old fashioned southern family just trying to get by in small-town Texas running the local barbecue restaurant. But when generations of hate and fear becomes too much to handle, there’s no limit to what they’ll do to protect their own. Oh, and they’re vampires.

Hellboy: Into the Silent Sea OGN – Directly following the events of Hellboy: The Island, Gary Gianni brings us an all new HB tale in this OGN!

World Reader #1 – An astronaut on a story-finding mission of several dead planets must find the connections of their deaths before their fate hits Earth! From Jeff Loveness (Groot) and Juan Doe (American Monster) comes a new tale of an “interplanetary archivist”! (I like that title…)

The Greatest Adventure #1 – Bill Willingham spins a creative tale bringing together several classic Edgar Rice Burroughs characters.

Nick Fury #1 – Given James Robinson’s recent work at Marvel and his Felix Leiter series at Dynamite, this seems inevitable; Nick Fury, S.H.I.E.L.D.’s greatest spy.

Other issues to look forward to:

Green Arrow #21 – New arc!

Guardians of The Galaxy: Dream On #1

I Hate Fairyland #12 – Please check out that variant cover.

Monsters Unleashed! #1

Star Trek: New Visions – The Traveler

Trinity #8 – “Superman: Reborn Aftermath” tie-in.

Collected Editions and OGNs:

Briggs Land Vol. 01 TPB

Cage TPB – Genndy Tartakovsky presents a new take on Marvel’s classic!

The Filth TPB

Might Morphin Power Rangers: Pink TPB
