C2E2 and DC Comics Rebirth Spoilers follow.
During the DC Comics Rebirth panel, an audience member asked whether DC had Rebirth plans for Martian Manhunter and Shazam (formerly Captain Marvel).
DC Comics Co-Publisher answered the question, but added the Justice Society of America / JSA and Legion of Super-Heroes into the mix, indicating DC wants to work on those characters, but that they just need the right team for each of these characters(s).
DiDio did further confirm that “We have plans for some of these characters.”
I am excited and glad that DC isn’t rushing the Justice Society or Legion of Super-Heroes onto the DC Rebirth stage. That said, Shazam is long overdue after the amazing New 52 take by writer Geoff Johns and artist Gary Frank.
