Inside Pulse Scorecard for WWE Backlash 2017

I thought it was a fairly uneventful and missable show until the shocking main event finish, which saw virtual jobber Jinder Mahal elevated to World Champion in only a few weeks.
Rating: 5.5

Kevin Owens, Nakamura, Dolph Ziggler, AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Baron Corbin, Sami Zayn….and the Champion is currently Jinder freaking Mahal.
Rating: 4.0

I’ve been waiting for someone to use the leg stuck in the announce table bit since I started watching wrestling. AJ Styles, you are my hero. As far as everything else? It ranged from okay to boring to WTF. Jinder Mahal? Really? I dislike Randy Orton, but come on… I wouldn’t be surprised if we find out soon that Orton is injured or about to be suspended again. I can think of no other reason for this title change.
Rating: 4.0(all for AJ getting stuck in the table cutout)

While I was mostly busy watching my Cavaliers blow another large lead, I did catch what was a snooze fest of a show. But we knew that coming in. What were didn’t know was that they would OPEN with the much hyped nakamura, and have styles lose via getting his leg caught in wires. How scintillating.
