Welcome to the WWE SmackDown Live Rankings by Inside Pulse Wrestling.
In these rankings we take the top 10 contenders for the WWE World Championship, and Top 5 for each the SmackDown Live Woman’s Championship, & SmackDown Live Tag Team Championship. In the rankings we take 3 major factors into account:
-Win/Loss since the last ranking
-Amount of TV Time dedicated to a particular character and/or storyline
-Logical storyline progression
A new ranking report will be released after the first SmackDown Live after a Pay-Per-View event.
WWE World Champion – Jinder Mahal (since 05.21.17)
1. Randy Orton
2. Kevin Owens (United States Champion since 05.02.17)
3. Sami Zayn
4. AJ Styles
5. Shinsuke Nakamura
6. Baron Corbin
7. Dolph Ziggler
8. Tye Dillinger
9. Luke Harper
10. Erick Rowen
All hail the Modern Day Maharaja. Randy Orton is in line for his rematch next month. The 6 participants in the Money in the Bank ladder match fill out the the majority of the top 10.
WWE SmackDown Live Woman’s Champion – Naomi (since 04.02.17)
1. Natalya
2. Becky Lynch
3. Charlotte
4. Carmella
5. Tamina
These seem meaningless since there is a Fatal 5-Way Match next week. Natalya picked up the pinfall at Backlash, putting her at the top, for now.
WWE SmackDown Live Tag Team Champions – The Uso’s (since 03.21.17)
1. The New Day
2. Breezango
3. American Alpha
4. The Colon’s
5. The Ascension
The New Day appearing on Talking Smack is enough for me to put them at the top of the list. The longest reigning Tag Team Champions are sure to get a title match, possibly as soon as Money in the Bank. Breezango had a nice little taste of success, but after losing 2 title matches in a row, look for them to drop in the future.
The next Smackdown Live Rankings are scheduled for June 21, after the Money in the Bank PPV!
