SDCC 2017 and DC Comics Rebirth Spoilers follow.
At the San Diego Comic Con 2017 (SDCC 2017) Justice for All panel from DC Comics, a New Gods question came up.
A fan asked if the upcoming New Gods arc, beginning in Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps #26, has ties to Vertigo’s mature readers Mister Miracle mini-series by writer Tom King and artist Mitch Gerards. Hal Jordan and the GLC writer Robert Vendetti responded by indicated that “No, it does not. It has sort of connections, loosely, to [Dark Nights] Metal. It’s happening in the same space.”
That would mean neither book ties into another New Gods mini-series from another DC imprint, DC’s Young Animal’s Bug: The Adventures of the Forager despite all three being part of the DC Comics Rebirth universe despite the various imprints.
I’m still hoping for more New Gods in whatever form I can get it!
