Spoilers, Top Story

DC Comics Rebirth Spoilers and Review for Batman #28, The War Of Jokes and Riddles Part 3, with Deathstroke vs. Deadshot as Gotham City Burns.

The war between the Joke and Riddler intensify as…

…Deathstroke and Deadshot take sides, as the best mercenaries in the world, on…

…opposite sides in the War of Jokes and Riddles…

…with the body count rising each day…

…between the two evenly matched mercenaries.

However, Batman gets between them and defeats them, finally, days later?

Batman is frustrated as…

…Commissioner James Gordon contemplate their roles in protecting Gotham City as the war between the Joker and Riddler continues to escalate…

…with no end in sight.

So…

Another well drawn issue by Mikel Janin and a great action-packed issue by Tom King. However, while the Deathstroke vs. Deadshot pages were breathtaking, I found how easily Batman dispatched both at the same time unbelievable. In the past Deathstroke, at least, has gone toe-to-toe with Batman; Deadshot hasn’t. So, how can a younger Batman take down a younger Deathstroke with a younger Deadshot in the mix? There should have been, probably, a few more pages of Batman vs. the two as there were of Deathstroke vs. Deadshot. Had that Batman scene not happened, Batman #28 for me would have been a 9 out of 10, but that scene’s unbelievablilty brings the book down to 7 out of 10.
