Inside Pulse Wrestling’s WWE SmackDown Live Rankings 08.23.17

Welcome to the WWE SmackDown Live Rankings by Inside Pulse Wrestling.

In these rankings we take the top 10 contenders for the WWE World Championship, and Top 5 for each the SmackDown Live Woman’s Championship, & SmackDown Live Tag Team Championship. In the rankings we take 3 major factors into account:

-Win/Loss since the last ranking
-Amount of TV Time dedicated to a particular character and/or storyline
-Logical storyline progression

A new ranking report will be released after the first SmackDown Live after a Pay-Per-View event.

Champion – Jinder Mahal (since 05.21.17)
1. Shinsuke Nakamura (2)
2. AJ Styles (3) (United States Champion since 07.25.17)
3. Randy Orton (4)
4. Kevin Owens (5)
5. Bobby Roode (NR)
6. Baron Corbin (8)
7. Rusev (9)
8. Sami Zayn (7)
9. Aiden English (NR)
10. Mike Kanellis (10)

Nakamura got pretty hosed at SummerSlam, and it looks like this feud will continue into the next PPV event. Styles seems to finally be done with KO, but it looks like he will be concentrating on the US Open Challenge. Bobby Roode debuts high due to pedigree. English has been getting some quality TV time, even picking up a few wins the past month.

Champion – Natalya (since 08.20.17)
1. Naomi (Champion)
2. Carmella (5)
3. Becky Lynch (3)
4. Charlotte Flair (2)
5. Tamina (4)

After 6 long years, Nattie is finally back on top. Naomi has her contractual rematch still, and don’t forget Carmella is waiting in the background with her briefcase.

Champions – The Usos (since 08.20.17)
1. The New Day (Champions)
2. Breezango (2)
3. Hype Bros (3)
4. The Singh Brothers (NR)
5. The Ascension (4)

The Usos are back on top after a short month with out the titles. New Day will surely get their rematch. The rest of the division is pretty low on the radar, and we are still waiting on finding out who attacked Breezango. The Singh’s have their first match, and finally debut on the rankings!

The next SmackDown Live Rankings is scheduled for October 11, after the Hell in a Cell PPV.
