The Mayor is about a young rapper’s unexpected rise to public office. Courtney Rose (played by Brandon Micheal Hall) is a struggling hip hop artist who decides to run for mayor in an effort to promote his fledgling music career. While Rose never expects to win, hilarity ensures when he actually does.
The Mayor was undoubtedly the show that left the best impression on me after screening all of the new Fall entries. It is funny and features very strong performances by both Brandon Micheal Hall and by Lea Michele.
