NYCC 2017, Marvel Comics Legacy and January 2018 Solicitations Spoilers follow.
During New York Comic Con 2017 (NYCC 2018), Marvel announced Old Man Hawkeye which is a 12-issue maxi-series written by written by Ethan Sacks with art by Marco Checcheto.
It appears that Jamie Madrox, the Multiple Man of X-Factor fame, will also appear as Old Man Madrox?
This appears to build off the the whole Old Man Logan future Wolverine character and world; he’s also on the cover.
Old Man Hawkeye debuts in January 2018 with Old Man Hawkeye #1. Marvel describe the series as follows:
- OLD MAN HAWKEYE will follow the avenging archer in a journey that takes place five years before the events of OLD MAN LOGAN, serving as a prequel to the popular series. The 12-issue run will be set 45 years into the future, taking place in a darker world where the heroic archer must avenge his fallen teammates – while he still can. Sacks, a long-time Marvel fan who currently covers comics and Marvel for the New York Daily News, previously wrote a story for the third issue of SECRET EMPIRE: BRAVE NEW WORLD.
One of the few times in recent years Marvel has solicited a limited series as actually being limited. Interesting and with one of my fave Marvel heroes.
