BBC Confirms Doctor Who Season 11 Spoilers follows.

Companions – 3 of them – for 13th Doctor played by Jodie Whittaker?

BBC made the annoucement on their official twitter account.

They released a cast photo for Season 11 of Doctor Who with the thirteen Doctor.

With the following message.

“Meet the 13th Doctor’s new friends! Yasmin (Mandip Gill), Ryan (Tosin Cole), and Graham (Bradley Walsh) #DoctorWho

Looks like Pearl Mackie, who played companion Bill Potts, joins Peter Capaldi, as the twelth doctor, on his exit of the Doctor Who franchise.

They follow previous showrunner Steven Moffat who was replaced by new showrunner Mark Chibnall.

Matt Lucas, who played a further companion Nardole in Doctor Who Season 12, clearly will not return for Season 13 as a series regular joining the rest of the previous cast and thereby allowing for a fresh start for the new Doctor Who showrunner.

There is also word that Doctor Who Season 11 may have less episodes than previous seasons, but that each episode would be longer thereby keeping the hours of Doctor Who for the season the same or around the same.

The Season 10 cast, with Peter Capaldi, Pearl Mackie and Matt Lucas, will go for their last hurrah in the Doctor Who Christmas Day Special 2017 called “Twice Upon A Time”.

The end of that episode is expected to be where the 13th Doctor played by Jodie Whittaker is set to debut. The BBC released this video of her debut earlier.

Here is a preview of the Doctor Who Christmas Special 2017.

More news to follow on the outgoing Season 10 Doctor Who cast and the next Doctor Who Season 11 as it becomes available.
