For once it looks like a “Twitter War” may have a pretty damn good pay off. After Kenny Omega was able to defend his IWGP United States Championship against Baretta at NJPW’s Power Struggle event this past weekend, Omega issued an open challenge. When it looked as if no one would accept, Omega made to leave the ring only to be interrupted by the light’s going out and a countdown on the big screen. Chris Jericho than appeared to issue a challenge for “The Cleaner”, which Omega accepted.

In response to Jericho’s challenge, Omega responded, “WWE, in general — you can quote me on this I don’t care — everyone there is so below me. No one can put together a performance like me from there. Anyone that’s copying anyone is copying me. I’m the trend right now.”
