Marvel Comics Legacy and Phoenix Resurrection The Return Of (Adult) Jean Grey #3 Spoilers follow.

Jean Grey’s Coffin Is Opened On The Road To X-Men Red!

Phoenix Resurrection The Return Of (Adult) Jean Grey #3 has several covers, but I wanted to spotlight the amazing In Hyuk Lee variant depicting another era for Jean Grey.

This builds on his variant for Phoenix Resurrection #2…

…and the debut issue of this series too.

Plus we’ll have a few more for this Phoenix Resurrection #4…

…and Phoenix Resurrection #4…

…all on the road to X-Men Red #1!

Anyhow, onto Phoenix Resurrection The Return Of (Adult) Jean Grey #3. We get open with the usually summary or catch-up page with credits.

In the real world, the Phoenix entity springs forth from Jamaica Bay, New York.

In the astral plane, or wherever the adult Jean Grey is, she leaves the diner she works at crying and passes another thought to be dead X-Man. Can anyone name this X-Men member? Looks like a Morlock perhaps? I thought of Caliban or Morph, but the former I think is alive and the latter I’m not sure about.

In the real world, the X-Men dig up the grave of the adult Jean Grey and learn that her coffin is empty.

They then head to London to ask Emma Frost for help; she points them to New Mexico.

In the astral plane, or wherever the adult Jean Grey is, Jean is running from…

…the Phoenix who demands to speak with her!

In the real world, the X-Men head to New Mexico and…

…with some effort find something very odd.

Marvel Comics Legacy and Phoenix Resurrection The Return Of (Adult) Jean Grey #4 is out next week plus…

…a week after that we have the conclusion to this event mini-series in Phoenix Resurrection The Return Of (Adult) Jean Grey #5.

Plus that week will also see Jean Grey #11 hit stands; a book you may want to check out due to the shocking end of Jean Grey #10 (full spoilers here).
