While Ronda Rousey’s signing has been the biggest news coming out of WWE in a while now, Dave Meltzer is reporting that Rousey isn’t the only one getting over with a new audience. Meltzer reports that a main reason why Rousey was signed was to also promote Stephanie McMahon to a more mainstream audience. The report notes that the WWE sees this opportunity to introduce Stephanie to a wider audience in a similar way as Vince McMahon was during the Steve Austin/Mike Tyson angle during the advent of the Attitude Era.
Stephanie is currently scheduled to team with her husband Triple H at WrestleMania to face Rousey and either The Rock or Kurt Angle.
