Jean-Claude Van Damme’s Black Eagle soars on MVD Rewind Blu-ray

Sometimes a beloved action hero has to get their start working as a bad guy. Such was the case when Chuck Norris had to have his body hair yanked off his my Bruce Lee in Way of the Dragon. Turns out that once upon a time Jean-Claude Van Damme had to uses his muscles from Brussels in service of the Soviet Union. When Black Eagle hit the screens in 1988, fans were rooting for Sho Kosugi (Ninja III: The Domination) since he was the good guy in this Cold War flick. It was like a martial arts version of King Kong Vs. Godzilla. Now this film that was a hot title in VHS is joining the MVD Rewind Collection with two different cuts. SYNOPSIS: After an F-11 gets shot down over the Mediterranean Sea, The U.S. government cannot afford to lose the top-secret laser tracking device that was on board. The CIA has no choice but to call in their best man, master martial-artist Ken Tani (Sho Kosugi, Ninja Assassin, Revenge of the Ninja), code name… BLACK EAGLE.
