Snickers, a sponsor of Wrestlemania, came out as publicly disappointed in the move to name the Battle Royal after Moolah; many also were vocal on social media forcing WWE to act.
Wrestler the Fabulous Moolah, who passed away in 2007, despite being a women’s wrestling pioneer was also alleged to have literally pimped out fellow female wrestlers, stole money from them, bullied them and other activities. Not proven in court, these allegations were serious enough in the #MeToo era to make a name change for this inaugural event.
