DC Comics Universe and Batman: Prelude to the Wedding – Robin vs. Ra’s Al Ghul #1 Spoilers follow.

Batman and Catwoman’s Son Debuts? Plus Selina Kyle and Damian Wayne Reach A Detente?

The book opens with Robin, Damian Wayne, in battle with another young man…

…who claims to be the son of Batman and Catwoman, of Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle, who took the nom de guerre of Bat-Cart, the Winged Lion!

Bat-Cat says that he’s poisoned Robin and that cause him to…

…hallucinate! He seems himself as his Batman 666 future adult self…

…and beats up Bat-Cat to claim the mantle of Batman!

Damian Wayne then realizes this has all be in a hallucination, but not one cause by Bat-Cat, but by…

…Ra’s Al Ghul, his grandfather!

He is upset that Bruce Wayne is marrying Selina Kyle, not his daughter and Damian’s mom Talia Al Ghul.

The Grandfather easily beats his drugged grandson.

At Wayne Manor, Damian confronts Selina who is back from her bachelorette party. She promises to always have Damian’s back, but that he shouldn’t call her mom. They both wonder how Ra’s Al Ghul found out about the wedding; and Damian is satisfied that Batman and Catwoman haven’t talked about more kids… yet. So, Bat-Cat is not another example that Time is Broken in DC, but was a hallucination.

The books ends with Ra’s Al Ghul returning to see his assassins killed by…

…the Joker who now knows of the Batman and Catwoman from a loose tongued assassin!
