Video games can warp a mind and Edward Furlong is going over the edge in Brainscan. He’s a jaded kid who finally gets his hands on the ultimate in violent videogames. What he doesn’t know until it’s too late is that he’s not just playing a CD-ROM game. The film got a great cult following in the VHS era. When Michael, a lonely teenager (Edward Furlong), orders the latest interactive video game, the new high-tech wizardry penetrates his subconscious, where his darkest impulses lead him through a deadly maze of murder, deception and desire.
