Return of The Fantastic Four

Welcome to the Column where I talk about what is returning this week.

This week is huge for Marvel comics. It featured the return of Marvel’s first family after a break of about three years. That’s right.

The Fantastic Four are finally back.

And this is no joke or anything, the Richards family of Reed Richards, Sue Storm-Richards, Franklin Richards and Valeria Richards along with possibly the Future Foundation were set to return this week in the new Fantastic Four #1.

I will say that I have been anticipating their return for a very, very long time. I can’t believe they were even on hiatus for so long. That itself was a bad move, but it could also be taken as a positive as it has definitely created more interest as to how eager the audience is for their return.

The creative team for this new relaunch is Dan Slott and Sara Pichelli. Dan Slott has proven himself an excellent Fantastic Four writer when he wrote Amazing Spider-man and I have no doubts he is up to the job. Sara Pichelli here means the book is definitely gonna be gorgeous and amazing.

More than the Fantastic Four re-forming, I am really, really excited for the return of Franklin and Valeria Richards. Both of these kids are my favorites and I am really looking forward to see Valeria having become more intelligent.

The synopsis for the first issue reads as follows:
