Wonder Woman Writer Sees Her Twin Brother As Good Lead and Showcase For A New Jason’s Quest Series For DC Comics.

Comics great writer James Robinson wrote a long run of Wonder Woman recently and ending his tenure with Wonder Woman #50 (full spoilers here).

Jason had armor and powers…

…given to him by the gods of Olympus.

His seeming end was in WW #50 where he sacrificed himself, joining the dark gods, so they could learn his secrets and…

…in turn leave Earth.

In an interview over at Newsarama there was interesting exchanged with James Robinson on his Wonder Woman run and Jason in particular:

Nrama: Wonder Woman #50 definitely feels like it’s an ending to your time on Jason’s character, and even his time in the book.

Robinson: It definitely has an element of finality to it, but Jason can be there for other writers, or indeed me, if I ever got to write him again.

      Nrama: Is that a hint?

Robinson: I do enjoy writing him. I have this vague fantasy of one day doing a story and calling the comic Jason’s Quest, which is an old DC title.

But no one’s asked me so far and probably won’t. So it’s just something in my mind right now.

Well apparently Jason Quest was a series-within-a-series back in the day featuring a grifter named, you guessed it, Jason.

Jason’s Quest ran from Showcase #88-90…

…in 1970…

…with reasonable pricing on the re-sale market on eBay.

I’d love to see Jason back monthly again and a Jason’s Quest series would sound cool. DC, are you listening? Re-purpose the Jason’s Quest name for Wonder Woman’s brother!
